My stay at the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn was quite a mixed bag. While the rustic charm and great location near Boulder provided a nice escape, I found several aspects that were less than ideal. The decor and some of the amenities felt outdated, and a few maintenance issues detracted from the overall experience. However, the attentive staff and delicious breakfast made up for some of the shortcomings.

Rooms

The room I stayed in had some unique features, like a cozy fireplace, which I appreciated. However, I did notice some peeling paint and that the AC unit didn't quite fit right, letting in the outdoor air. Overall, it was comfortable, but it definitely could use some updating.

The staff were genuinely friendly and very helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. They really seemed to care about their guests, which made a positive difference in my experience.

Nestled back in the canyon just outside of downtown Boulder, the location was perfect for exploring the area. The scenic views and quiet surroundings provided a peaceful retreat, though the inn itself could use some care to enhance its curb appeal.

While the inn had a charming rustic vibe, some facilities felt less maintained, like the common areas and outdoor seating, which could use some attention. However, the cozy atmosphere and access to snacks were nice touches.

I had a wonderful stay at the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn. The location was perfect—close enough to downtown Boulder for shopping but still felt super secluded. My room was cozy, featuring a relaxing fireplace and access to nature. The breakfast was good, but I noticed the menu could benefit from a bit more variety. Overall, it was a great getaway, and I can't wait to return!

I had a unique experience at the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn. While the rustic charm and spacious rooms were good, I did notice that some facilities, like the hot tub, were unfortunately out of order. The breakfast was decent, with delicious lemon scones being a highlight, but I wished there were more egg options available. Overall, it’s a nice, casual spot with a beautiful location, but it could use some TLC.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn. The peaceful, scenic location along the Boulder river was lovely, yet the inn feels worn and in need of updates. While the breakfast was quite good and the atmosphere was charmingly rustic, my room left much to be desired with stained carpets and outdated furnishings.

Rooms

My room was especially disappointing with stained carpets and outdated furnishings. The mattress felt worn out, and the TV was quite outdated as well.

The owner, Jeanene, was very helpful with maps and local information, which I appreciated. However, the overall hospitality felt lacking at times, especially considering how much I paid.

While the inn has a unique rustic charm and scenic views, it does feel a bit shabby in parts. The outdoor seating areas are nice but could use better maintenance.

I recently stayed at Alps Boulder Canyon Inn and had mixed feelings about my experience. The inn offers a beautiful and peaceful location along the Boulder River, perfect for relaxation. However, I found several areas needing improvement, particularly the rooms and facilities showing signs of wear that detracted from my overall enjoyment. While the breakfast options were good at times, the inconsistency in food quality was noticeable.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and filled with light, but I noticed some issues with the furnishings, and overall maintenance felt lacking. The bed was comfortable, which I appreciated, but the bathroom could use some serious repairs.
Service

The staff, especially Maddy, were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to help, which made me feel welcomed. Their genuine efforts to provide recommendations for local attractions were a highlight.
Location
7.0
The location was tranquil and set away from the hustle and bustle, yet it was a bit tricky to find, and I unfortunately missed the entrance. However, it was conveniently close to downtown Boulder and hiking trails, which was ideal.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the variety of quiches, but the consistency varied; some items tasted fresh while others seemed day-old or microwaved. The presence of homemade snacks throughout the day was a nice touch.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities felt quite tired, with some common areas needing attention and the outdoor space looking cluttered. There were missed opportunities to enhance the experience and improve the hotel's appeal.
